Medusa Light made from DuPont Corian

Dupont recently held a competition called ‘Skin of Corian‘, calling for designs using their material for new and interesting furniture pieces.

Medusa means ‘jellyfish’ in Spanish. Made from laser-etched Corian, which catches the form of this acquatic creature. A flexible element of colored light can be added, facilitating lamp mood’s change. The Medusa lamp [above], designed by Claudia Carrasco a member of the Barcelona-based design collective Exposed.
